Solution

Assembly technology

Our assembly machines are based on the integration of many, modular constructed components. According to the required assembly step, we will determine the best possible solution and we will integrate it into your line – regardless if it’s a fully robotic or a manual workstation. The assembly line may consist of speed-optimized machines with indexing table, highly-flexible conveyor systems or some totally customized units; this will be all up to your priorities.Whether the task is screw-driving, pressing, press-fitting, plasma treatment, welding, stamping, testing, camera inspection, leak testing, handling, riveting, labelling, cutting, gluing or any other assembly installation you need we can offer many flexible solutions. Our aim is to reach the highest process reliability and functional safety possible.

Robot cells

At eCon Engineering we are able to deliver the full spectrum of robotised processes and integrated robotic solutions. According to your product requirements, we will determine the best robotic solution and integrate it into your production line – regardless of robot type (4/6 axes articulated, scara, delta, cartesian) or robot manufacturer (Comau, Epson, Fanuc, ABB, etc.)Our design specialist experiences will be applied to your robot cells in order to decrease cycle times while increasing reliability. Our robot cells can be applied for assembly, handling, palettizing, packaging, sorting, dispensing, sealing, measuring, testing, polishing, deburring, laser welding, cutting, process machining, spot welding, etc.

Screw-driving stations

At eCon Engineering we are able to cover the full spectrum of screw-driving technologies. According to the required technologies, we will try to find the best solution and integrate it into your line – regardless if it’s a fully robotic – or a manual workstation. The system may be a speed-optimized machine with indexing table, a highly-flexible conveyor system or a totally customized manual unit; this will be all up to your priorities. Our design specialist experiences will be applied to your screw-driving station decreasing the cycle time while increasing the reliability.

Test equipment

Quality is now the deciding factor for the success of a product. In line inspection, measuring and testing, elevates the product quality to a continued high level of standard. At eCon Engineering we are able to cover a wide spectrum of inspection and test technologies. Whether you need to measure the force-displacement of a press-fit process, the torque of a screw-tightening process, the possible leakage, some electrical parameters, or simply just want to verify the positioning or a dimension of your part with a camera, we can integrate the necessary solutions directly and usefully into your machine, or deliver an EOL tester for your product.

Technology development

At eCon Engineering design specialist and numerical simulation experience will be applied to your technology development process to increase process reliability. According to your product requirements, we will determine the best process solution and integrate it into your line. We can virtually analyse numerous physical phenomena like heat transfer, fluid dynamics, even magnetic parameters, and optimise our equipment according to the results. We also have some in house measuring equipment like tensile tester to measure certain parameters like force-displacement diagram to establish the right process parameters before the design phase.

METHOD

After contact our method usually follows these steps, presented below

pluszCreated using Figma Assessment

The first step is to clearly understand your requirements based on the available materials like RFQ’s etc. We assess your requirements via consultations in order to specify every known aspect of the task.

pluszCreated using Figma Quotation

Based on the available information we do the necessary preparations for the quotation, engineering calculation, cycle time, costs estimate, schedule, etc. After all the details are in place we present you with our detailed written quotation. If needed we also demonstrate our solution to you, which can be modified at any time given your feedback if necessary.

pluszCreated using Figma Order

Once we get your Purchase Order we start planning the project. First step is to check our project schedule followed by sending you the order- and schedule confirmation.

pluszCreated using Figma Design

Usually we start with a kick-off meeting, followed by preparing the mechanical design. If the design is accepted internally, we organise a design review with you. According to the outcome of our design review meeting we: adjust the design, prepare the detailed documentation and proceed with the electrical design, PLC, Robot, PC programming.

pluszCreated using Figma Assembly

According to the detailed documentation we start the procurement and production. Once the commercial goods and parts are in place, we start to assemble the equipment, make the necessary installations and perform our tests. After our internal acceptance procedure, we invite you to a pre-acceptance meeting to our workshop.

pluszCreated using Figma Delivery

Delivery takes place only after we have your permission to deliver the equipment to your site. Next steps is the on-site commissioning and going through the acceptance process with you, followed by delivering a training to your operator and maintenance group.

pluszCreated using Figma After-sales services

We provide you with 12 Months warranty for our machines (with the possibility of extended warranty). We are putting great effort in supporting our customers during our machines entire life cycle. You get spare parts, technical assistance, training, refurbishments and upgrades for our machines any time you require.

Hot air riveter

GroupCreated using FigmaJune 15. 2017.
The main application of hot air riveting is fixing PCB panels or sheet-metal parts in a plastic frame or house. Our controlled technology ensures safe and economical binding between the parts.

Manual station

GroupCreated using FigmaJune 15. 2017.
Our standard manual station is a cost-effective solution to adapt screwing or any other manual process for different type of products. The fast changeable fixtures make the system suitable for building a flexibly alterable assembly line. The base machine is easily programmable for applying different type of fixtures and technologies.

Press-Fit Process

GroupCreated using FigmaJune 15. 2017.
The principle of the press-fit connection is that a contact terminal is pressed into a printed circuit board (PCB). Press-fit connector technology provides highly reliable, cost-effective connections for harsh automotive applications.

Radial Riveting Process

GroupCreated using FigmaJune 15. 2017.
Radial riveting is a cold-forming process used on parts where an angled peen or forming tool attached to a spindle moves 3 to 6 degrees off-centre and applies axial and radial forces to a portion of a rivet or studs. There is little axial force and the material predominantly flows radially.
